Tallman Arts Festival
Welcome back to the 57th Annual Tallman Arts Festival! The Tallman Arts Festival (TAF) is a community-wide event that annually celebrates art, culture, and entertainment from Rock County and beyond. As a one-day festival, the TAF is Rock County Historical Society’s largest event, drawing more than 100 different artists and more than 3,000 visitors to the RCHS campus. This year, we return to you with a new theme: Art in Nature.
Many of our activities will celebrate Nature and how the natural world sustains us. Because nature provides us life and sustenance through shelter, food, water, etc. we are connecting it to our Breadbasket: Seed to Spoon exhibit. Please be sure to come inside the Helen Jeffris Wood Museum located on 426 N. Jackson St. to view the exhibit firsthand while you are enjoying the fun on the lawn.
Please join us on August 3, 2014 at the RCHS campus located at 426 N. Jackson St. in Janesville, Wisconsin.
The fun starts at 10am and goes until 5pm. All adults and seniors be sure to bring $4 for admissions, but if you are a child under 17, you come for free!
We have a lot of fun in store for you this year. Some of our familiar activities will be returning! You can expect the pie auction again, which will be done at 12:15 pm until 1 pm, as well as a silent auction for some great items. There will also be a kids area where children can enjoy fun crafts with volunteer Cameron Pickering who led last year’s “Young at Art” activities.
