Tallman Arts Festival Artist Application

Apply now for the 66th annual Tallman Arts Festival. Fine artists and crafters, practical artists, and more are welcome and eligible to apply. The Tallman Arts Festival raises funds to preserve the historic buildings on Rock County Historical Society campus.

Terms of Service & Important Information

LOCATION

Held on grounds of the Rock County Historical Society surrounding the Lincoln-Tallman Museum, 440 N. Jackson St. in Janesville, WI.

ELIGIBILITY

Select your category on the application form. All work on display must be original work created by the artist. Work produced from commercial molds, kits, and patterns, hobby, mass-produced or imported items will not be accepted.

ENTRY & FEES

Apply online, submit one image of your work, and pay the booth application fee for a 10’x10’ area. Booth application fee is non-refundable upon acceptance to the Tallman Arts Festival. No sales commissions are charged for artists.

AGREEMENT

Submission of application indicates acceptance of conditions here set forth: If work exhibited on the day of the festival is not of the same nature as the photo submitted, the artist will be asked to leave. Artists provide their own display measuring no greater than 10’x 10’. Weights are required to secure tents. Artists provide their own table(s) and chair(s). Festival goes on rain or shine. No refunds of artist’s fees will be issued.

WISCONSIN SALES TAX

Each exhibitor is responsible for the collection and payment of 5.5% Wisconsin State and County Sales Tax. Seller’s permit tax numbers will be reported to the state as required by law.

LIABILITY

RCHS will exercise all reasonable precautions, however, exhibitors shall indemnify and hold harmless the Rock County Historical Society, its Board of Trustees, staff and volunteers, sponsors, and the City of Janesville against any and all loss or damage to works of art and/or property.

HOSPITALITY

Grounds open at 6:00 AM. Complimentary water and coffee will be available to artists from 8:00-10:00 AM. Restrooms are on the grounds. Drinking water will be delivered to booths throughout the event. The campus is open to the public from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday. Load-out may not begin until after closing time each day, for the safety of guests. Exhibitors retain responsibility for securing art and property.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Acceptance to the Tallman Arts Festival is considered a commitment to exhibit. Booth application fees are non-refundable after application acceptance.

PHOTO RIGHTS AND REPRODUCTION

Acceptance of application allows RCHS and its photographers the rights to use images of your art and person in our marketing of current and future events or purposes.
