Creates an inviting and relaxing

venue, open and available to all

groups of various sizes and

purposes, from strategic planning

meetings to weddings, all while

surrounded by unique historic sites

and landscape.

KEEPER•

Preserves and honors its sites,

landscape and collections to the

highest historic preservation and

museum standards, while offering its

resources to local and scholarly

research.

STORYTELLER•

Through the lens of its historic sites,

such as the Lincoln-Tallman House,

the campus shares the broad

history of Rock County through the

individual, familial stories of its

people.

Executive Summary

The Campus Master Plan is next iterative design step from the Society's 15-year Strategic Plan to bring the concept of a "history campus" to life in Rock

County, Wisconsin. The campus vision envisions four important outcomes that have dictated the Plan's architectural and design concepts. When

complete, the Campus will use its resource to serve community need while being a keeper of its history.

Campus Vision

The campus of the Rock County Historical Society is a destination for all things related to Rock County history. With the iconic Lincoln-Tallman House

and other truly unique campus destinations and buildings rooted in Rock County heritage, the campus has a distinctive presence in the community

and offers a visitor experience that is truly matchless.
