Partial Solar Eclipse and Astronomy Day

August 21, 2017 | 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Celebrate with Astronomical Activities

Astro-nerds and sky watchers assemble! The Rock County Historical Society is celebrating the partial solar eclipse on Monday, Aug. 21 with a program all about astronomy.

While we won’t be able to actually see the entire sun eclipsed, we will be constructing pinhole cameras to safely view the partial eclipse. You’ll also experience a myriad of activities and crafts at this event, held rain or shine. We may even launch a rocket!

Bonus: First 50 guests receive a free pair of Certified Eclipse Glasses! Don’t miss out; when they’re gone, they’re gone!

Cost: Free; $2 per-person donations appreciated.

To RSVP: Call (608) 756-4509, ext. 304.
